With such a strong diagonal in the composition I am wondering whether a square crop would have suited this picture better... nice tone and colour and great contrast thought - nice!

That floor would have made a great picture too...

this is a nice shot for sure, but compositionally i want some focal point to lure my eye back in....right now my eyes appreciate the repetition and graphic nature of this pic, but my eyes just slide right over the seats and out of the shot. when viewing this pic your eye does not come to rest on anything. i believe the lack of focal point keeps this exceptional shot just shy of greatness.

Great nostalgic photo. I like the set up and the feeling of your shot. I even like the torn stool in front. One of my favorites.

Though the shine on the seats and counter is a little distracting but nice DOF... good composition...

Almost perfect! I wouldn't have included the first stool or I would have removed that tape (if it's not a gash). Great image, perfect tones. 10

Great capture, if you had taken it the other direction and not gotten the seat it might even better.

This is excellent work. I love nicely toned black and whites, so that's always a plus :) This is a strong photo for me for several reasons... first of all, it meets the challenge well. This is quite nostalgic since these types of 'greasy spoon' places are fading into the past these days. There aren't many like it around anymore. Secondly, you chose an interestin perspective and composition for this shot. You chose a non-literal view which creates nice 'geometries' in the photo and a nice strong diagonal as well. This looks like a place I would want to go for a burger and fries and a chocolate malt with a pretty girl on a friday night :)

Don't you wish you had done this shot for the 'repetition' challenge? :)

Excellent showing... = 10

Good angle greats the shot a great interest. It makes your eyes look from the bottom right to the top left. The clolor you use really adds that extra 40's flavor. Excellent shot.

This is one of my favorites of the challenge. I love the angle from which you shot and the details captured, from the intricate pattern of the tile floor to the tear in the first seat cushion. To me, this has a great nostalgic feel to it. Nicely done.

great leading lines in the tiles, chairs and counter top. very good angle on the shot. I wish there wasn't a tear in the vinyl on the front seat.

I only give out 1 ten per challenge and you'd have gotten it if you'd have moved this shot up a chair to drop the torn stool out of the photo. 9

A bit before my time but half reminds me of "happy days" so I guess that counts :-) Nice use of pattern, I would have liked to seen it in color.

Better than average - nice repetition in the stools and floor tiles

The tear on the first stool is a little distracting, it takes away from the uniformity for me anyway, otherwise very nice photo, I like the sepia tones.

Humm, I think you should of left out the 'cut' stool. <?> Maybe included more of the counter and a little less floor. The old tile is of interest but maybe just a bit too much is seen here. Technically this is a fine shot and do like the tones.

Beautiful repitition, lighting and coloration.

The cut of the counter at the very top edge of the photograph is somewhat compositionally awkward.
