Tricky to take this, as the sprint cars really kick up the dirt / clay / stones, as they accelerate by. Not the best angle, but the "kicked up" stuff made for an interesting pic.

Look at that flying dirt! Certainly stopped the motion there. ;^) This image is well composed regarding positioning of subject. The track line, where the dirt meets the trees, adds a nice diagonal line. One problem with the dust in the air is that it makes the image feel a little flat, whether it is or not. A little tighter shot of the action may have worked better for you in this challenge. The cars are an interesting subject. I certainly would be going after some photo op's if this venue was available! ;^) Good luck in the challenge.

great idea, but somehow the execution has been left in the dust. the subjects aren't sharp enough and the framing isn't tight enough. the overall image is muted enough to indicate that a bit more post-processing would have helped (since this is advanced editing, you need to take advantage of every tool available).

Try a 2:1 crop here and see if you can get a little more contrast(de-fog).
