These photos reminded me of paintings by the American artist Hopper (or was it Hooper?). You've done a really good job with them.
And did you know that in Japan, Ronald McDonald is known as Donald? (Or Donarudo, to get it closer to their pronunciation...) |

black and white is the perfect way to safely incorporate the corporate. a phenomenal juxtaposition. the blur of the boy, lost in both DOF and glass-dirt, is juxtaposed against the glittery haze in which Ronald is lost. For me, this picture is about altered states of consciousness. The panes of window, the creepily blanked out pictures, all divide this world into different consciousnesses. I'm adding this to my solo favorite collection (but i don't think it will stay that way). |
