the fact that babies are soft is one thing, soft baby focusing on coin makes this pic challenge unique!! good luck!

IMHO this is more the use of DOF than soft focus but I do like the composition

I think your photo is going to grab the voters attention and give it high marks. Probably not a gold medal winner but still very high. Good job!

There is no soft focus here. Soft focus has a misty character with the edges softened and bright areas turned like fog. It results of light difusion before the lens. This picture uses only a shallow DOF.
