Challenge: Where In The World Is stdavidson? (Advanced Editing IV*)
Camera: Nikon D200
Location: labuda's residence
Date: Aug 19, 2006
Galleries: Nude, Self Portrait
Date Uploaded: Aug 22, 2006

3 exposures to make this shot. the hands, the bubble (made with soap) and me, naked.... black velvet as backround to make sure there is no overlap in the backrounds. in post-process i rotated the bubble, shrank it to make it look better, and placed the hands accordingly.
labuda was a great help again in this one. its not really doable alone, plus his creative mind helped the idea turn into reality.
i really like it, i hope you all do too. thanks for all the comments.

It's a lovely photo whichever way it was made, don't get me wrong, but can I just clarify - did you take one photo which had all these elements on the one photo and manipulate the images within the photo? or did you take 3 photos and them montage them together? What did you mean when you said 3 exposures? That would normally mean 3 different photos each with a different exposure.

it follows the rules though, i didn't shoot a photo of a photo, or import other images into mine. everthing on the final image is on the original photograph.
unless i'm missing something that was added further on in that thread, i didnt read the entire thing.

Pretty cool shot, I am slowly getting tired of all these hand shots and things going on between or on them (the hands that is) but this is very well done technically speaking so I gave it an 8.

Certainly one of the most creative interpretations of the challenge topic. Reminds me of the final scene in "2001 - A Space Odyssey". Good color tones. Very well done. I'm curious and hope you explain in the details how this image was made. This should place high in this challenge.

It's nice to see that someone took advantage of the loose rules. Welll done getting this in one shot. Very commercial and balanced.

what an awesome image! The only nitpick would be the light on the upper hand, where is it coming from? His head is in shadow, so either the head should be more lit, or the hand right above more dim.
