Closeup of a bald-faced hornet. Taken with the Nikon 60mm macro lense plus the 5T and 6T supplemental closeup lenses. I cooled this critter in the refrigerator for a few minutes to slow her down.

Great closeup of a bug. The great depth of field helps to make it pop out of the picture. Great details in the hair. Incredible patterns on the bugs head.

Looks more like Darth Maul to me, but hey who cares? That's one scary looking bug!

Very good macro ! Terrific detail in nose and eyes. Antennae remind me of the horns on a mean bull we had on the ranch.

Nice title. What a "mask" it stands out even more in contrast to the soft fuzz at the neck.I like the depth of the colors, and the detailed texture in those eyes.
