After insisted caresses of my wife this little cat -"Ivan The Terrible" his name- started to sleep, grabbed from her dress because of his insecurity (orfan, had three accidents, he lives by miracle - thus he took this name)

Thank you all guys!!!

You really help me enough to try harder and spot to what I have to do. This 50 days old kitten was photographed under an arbor, so the spots are sun beams that comes to my frame. "Ivan" (the name of the cat) was resting on the thighes of my wife surrended to her caresses. I made him a "star" so I 'm gonna have news from Ivan by phone every week. He lives among 10 cats, 3 dogs and 7 horses in an equestrian club at the North part of Euboea Island in Greece. I hope he's gonna make it! I'll turn back with some future photos of him...

The clinging paw makes this picture.

white blotch circle in front of the nose detracts from the pic. Nice claws and whiskers!

Excellent cat shot. Nicely sharpened. Fantastic textures. The paw in the foreground is a really nice touch. The composition doesn't seem quite right to me though...Something about the weighting of the various elements doesn't feel right but I can't put my finger on it. Perhaps a tighter crop including only the head and paw would do it? 8

Great detail. A couple or three spots of glare...... but I don't know how to avoid or fix these myself.....

I voted favorably on this a while back, but after a read some forum stuff about cats and dogs at rest, I had to come back and comment. Sure there are a lot of cute and boring pet pictures in this challenge, but while this IS CUTE, it is also a FINE PHOTO, well composed, with great detail. I love those claws, and the wiskers catching the light. That little elbow poking out, the whole body is so draped and relaxed it is the essense of "at rest". The b&w is a good choice it simplifies the shot and brings out eyes right in on the cat. After the challenge, I'd spot edit out the glare, specks and whatever in the black background and make a print!

The great shadows and reflections help to make this shot come alive. I could almost feel the texture on what the cat is sleeping on. Beautiful depth of field also makes it pop out of the shot. Great contrast. "10"

As sick as I am of looking at cat and dog photos, I have to admit this is one of the better ones.

We got a lot of cat pix, but I like your use of wide angle and the tight shot.

Great shot, I like the detail, B/W is ok.

Like most, I'm a lil weary of having to sort one pet shot after the other. This one is not like the others. All I can say is ooh and ah...

What a gorgeous photograph ('cept for the lil teeny highlight at top left)! It's the management of light, especially, which impresses me here.
