Could bomb. I like it, but then again, they are my kids. I thought it did show a simple moment of pleasure. Your brother is helping (instead of tormenting) you and the cool water tastes so good on a hot day.

Converted from RAW, USM, S/H, Channel Mixer, Contrast, Midtone Levels (I'm just not a curves guy), Color Balance for Sepia and then final two USM passes and border.

Woo hoo! I'm really happy about this shot. It grew on me more and more as the week went by. I just love the frozen water dripping off of Laine's chin. Yes, I cut the head off on purpose. It was mainly to keep things close and intimate. You are very limited in 640 pixels and if I were to have 1000, I may have cropped larger. The shadow on her face was inevitable, but I also left it (compared to a version where I lightened it through PP) because the dark actually set her face off from the lighter background.

Congratulations Doc on another ribbon, and on this very charming photograph. What are the odds that all three ribbons in this challenge would be duo-tones.

Love this, how summer-classic. Your models are a bit of a giveaway, but I can't really point fingers about that. Congrats on the ribbon for your collection!

This is nice, I like the sepia tones that give it that old-fashioned feeling. To me, it would have seemed more complete if the top of the little girl's head hadn't been cut off. She is really the focal point of the picture and somehow, something seems missing when you can't see all of her head. Even though it is in fashion now to cut off the tops of people's heads in pictures - to me it looks like a mistake.

Just love the tones in this photo. This is stunning, infact I would rate this photo up there with my all time favourite children's photos. If I could give this 11 out of 10, I would have!

wow, this is one of the clearest, crispest shots around! love the editing...would have liked to have seen the whole of the girl's head, so the crop is a little tight...8

I like this candid shot a lot, good tonal range, good b/w, good sharpness; if only her face was not in the shade ... but then you can not have everything
