Although this image has pastels in it, it really doesn't say "pastel" to me. I also think it would have been better if you were able to get the dragon fly from an different angle to show more of his color.

This is difficult to achieve. I really don't care for the distracting background. I know shots like this can't be helped. Seems the dark tones are a tad noisy. I applaud you on the difficulty of this shot but its not really working for me, sorry.

the lighting on the dragonfly is brilliant. Love the shimmer and reminds me of gossamer wings. the blue and green behind are so intense, it distracts from the pastel colors of the subject. imo
