Oh wow, a blue ribbon on my birthday :)

This is an infrared photo of Balcombe viaduct. It was built for the Brighton to London railway and has 37 arches and was completed in 1842.

Swapped blue/red channels
Levels/neatimage and boosted saturation.

This is a great place to shoot (not that I have, but still...) Great photo, and I remember Gavin Hoey doing a video of his photo shoot here with his daughter. A long belated congrats on your blue ribbon.

I am so pleased with your first place finish. I really like your work, and as others, you inspired me to try infrared. Have you considered starting a learning thread in the forums to teach infrared, or at least write a comprehensive tutorial?

Excellent. With these kinds of shots I'd usually have a quibble with the rotation being 1 or 0.1 degrees off, but this is perfect.

Truly superb.

Congrats Mark, me no big fan of IR, maybe because a lot of shots I see here with IR is with trees, this one however is excellent.

And it is the work of Isambard Kingdom Brunel and all the bricks were transported by the waterway that it crosses, which is odd, as there's precious little waterway left there now.

Magnificent bridge, great shot, congrats...

Great clear picture. Love the gradient in the blue sky fom dark to light. Love the architectural detail in the boxes on top of the arches and the perspective generated by their recession.

Wow! Way to go making geometry look so gorgeous. My geometry teacher always told me geometry was beautiful, and I didn't believe him. Now, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt :) Awesome job! 10
