That is very nice. Love the branches..and the little twigs, almost look like little fingers. Great shot.

you've got a nice tree with some character to it. i also like how the mountian in the background is framed by the branches.

Just a bit of OOF areas in the tree (or compression problems) But a very nice image!

any way to sharpen the top third of this? I do like the bark, mosquite tree??? and the contrast of shapes, twisted limbs, trunk to rounded hills and mountains. nice colours overall..perhaps shade darker or more saturation on blues and greens? score this an 8 easily and wish you best of luck in challenge :-)

This is a really cool shot. The colors, composition, and subject are all very strong. The only thing that pulls me out is the apparent wide angle; perhaps it's just an illusion with the way the trunk has developed, but it looks almost distorted toward the lens at the base and that feels a little strange to me. Since it's obvious that you have a great grasp of the space of the elements in the photograph, it would be nice to see you up the creative level just a little - either in content or post work. The photo itself is great, but doesn't do too much to separate it from other great photos of knarly trees. That being said, it was in my upper group of ratings, and I think you will do well.

I really like the composition and setting of this tree. I feel like I'm missing a bit of richness as far as the colors go. It's amazing what just a bit of adjusting in levels and curves can do. Even contrast and saturation adjustments could give this the POW it deserves.
