I want to thank Jóhannes for shoving me his studio. I took this shot there.

It's my first studio shot.

I just wish we had a real Erlenmeyer flask. Then it would look much more like chemistry. I think it won't score a lot because of that.

Me and my friend tumitumi had a mini challenge. We had the same subject in the same studio. We are going to find out which one gets higher score in this challenge. I think he will beat me.

Nice work on lighting - I like the "bright outline" effect. Interesting composition.

I'm not quite sure how this relates to chemistry.

great lighting...I usually love negative space, but wonder how this would have lookd as a close up square crop...just a thought... great use of back lighting

ok, first off, this picture has very little or no relation to the competition topic. Secondly, as I'm sure others have said, this picture seems to appear TWICE in the competition, even if it does have slightly altered positions. However, I give it a 8 for composotion.

Nice shot, doesn't really say chemistry to me.

Nice look on his face. Is this the same model from the other one very similar to this? hmmmm

great expression, cool backlighting. good use of negative space. a tad sharper around the eyes and this would be flawless.

Yes the image is amusing and well worked but I think that is out of the contest. Where is the chemistry? I think that the lamp on without electrical source can be the new idea but isn't many obvious.

This image is better than the other image with the same model. Even so, this is a weak subject for this challenge, as it doesn't relate to chemistry very well. In a more subject appropriate challenge, I would have given this image a 6 or 7 for the lighting and other technical merits.

More like physics old son - check your curriculum and go back to school.

Is this the same shoot as the other one? Well I'll repeat my comment then. The light bulb/electricity is physics rather than chemistry, but I do like how the backlighting catches the hair. I think this photo's composition is better than the other one too.

I'm not a great fan your concept, but the image is good. Great backlighting to create the halo, specially needed at the back of his head, well done. The composition works and it's easy to understand the image. Sharpness colours and lighting all comes to gether to make a strong image.
