As "electric" as this shot is, I don't see anything electric in it, nor do I see how society has been impacted...

Amazing lightning you captured there! I like how it goes towards the ocean and then up into the clouds again. If you would have cut the top part of the clouds away and made the ocean more visible it would have been a winner.
-Comment update: Make it a landscape picture by cutting most of the ocean away and keep the clouds.

I wish there was more light on the water, but what are you gonna do? What an eerie feeling this photo evokes. I think it would have sent me running! Great shot.

Marvellous stuff. I don't find lighting shots particularly interesting personally, but can appreciate that this is as good as they get - or almost so. Maintaining some interest in the clouds and water shows careful exposure, and a thoughtful approach. Just one thought: presuming that this is one of a number of shots (after all, you don't just turn up and take one in this situation, do you?), I wonder if you haven't taken the one with the most lightning in it as the best - was there something a touch simpler, and perhaps the more impactful for it? The sheer quantity here makes it perhaps less dramatic than a more coherent, simpler structure of lines might be.

The rules say...something ELECTRONIC must be clearly visible in you photo.
