Challenge: Abstract Macro II (Advanced Editing IV)

Macro of my eye. Flash hurt, alot. Shot at approx 2.5x no crop. Hue/Sat, curves, USM, some dodge and burn to remove the reflection of me in my own eyeball, spot editing. The colors are a little off, but i think it's a bit more dramatic this way. Also decided that the reflection from the flash was a bit to much, so I cloned it out. Hopefully SC agree's that it was necessary and wasn't to much.

Great job. Unlike my eye shot, you stayed away from zooming all the way in, so the structures within the iris stayed much sharper. Well-deserved finish!

Whoa... now THAT is a macro! I can easily see this on the front page next week. The detail there is creepy and amazing at the same time. Almost makes me afraid of my own eyeballs! A 10 all the way.

I had no idea this is what the eye looks like. Its kinda gross but strangely compelling.

I love the iris part (wow that is amazing!!). I don't like the white of the eye with the glare from the flash and all the veins. If you could have taken it from a slightly different angle or cropped out the white I think it would have been a stronger image.

That's probably the clearest shot of an eye I have ever seen. I would love to see a full size of this. Downright facinating.
