Wow. eastern state pennitentiary is an amazing place to shoot! My friend and I went there this past saturday, after we were heading to an arboretum and it started raining. THANK GOD FOR RAIN! I have so many good shots from here, I can not wait until I can go back. I wish I had went to this place last week to do leading lines, I think I might have won haha.

Oh yeah, I know its a little burned out. I did that purposely.

A suggestion, go during Noon time, and if its Very cloudy, its a good thing.

I spent a lot of time burning and dodging, and other than that, I just cropped to a square format which I think adds to the photo. Hopefully everyone else likes it as well.

EDIT POST CHALLENGE: Wow, 15th place! Out of 600+
Thank you all, I have to say, this is probably one of my greatest acheivments to date here. I know its not a ribbon, but out of 600+ entries, 15th is DAMN good.

This is an intriguing shot and you should be very pleased with its appeal to the voters. I find the sense of scale as well as the elevated camera angle to provide a great deal of energy to the pic. The light reflected on the rough walls is perfect as well. NOt sure about the title, but the image is so excellent that it transends the title. And now i'm just being picky. Don't change a thing!

Ha, you only get a brief critique. 6.82...fuggedaboutit.

I gave the shot a 7 which is beyond a solid shot and into the excellent category. Square crop was a great choice due to the symmetry. The nearly B&W is a good touch with the high contrast. I wouldn't change the shot much at all...

Cool location, and well executed photograph. Interesting how the leading lines ccomposition can also work to show the isolation of subject(s).

I like the play of shadow and light in this photo to creating leading lines guiding the eye down the tunnel. Great conversion to B&W as well.
