This took a lot. A few hours shopping getting all the props. An hour to setup including painting Kita. It doesn't show up but she is completely covered in paint.

I then laid out the materials on the carport floor. I laid Kita into position with a couple of foam pads under her head and right arm. I removed the one under her knee before I took the shots. She was lying on pavers for about 30 minutes so it was very uncomfortable for her. I then laid out the beads and resprayed her hair, even though it doesn't show up properly....and then gave her the paintbrushes.

She was wearing knickers but it took a bit to wrap her in the beads and other material.

I stood a ladder to behind her and laid a plank of wood on the top of the ladder across to the patio railing and crawled out onto it so I was lying above her. Damion held the plank at the other end while the boys stood by ready to move any prop that was out of place.

I took about 10 shots but wasn't happy with the expression on her. A fly was annoying her and she couldn't relax....that was her excuse. LOL!!

This is such a fantastically strong image, the lighting's a dream. I expected to see it in the top ten. As for all the work you put into it - WOW!!!

No way that this deserved to come in 35th place

35th?!? This was my highest vote. Really well done Judi. You should have been much higher. I wanted to see this ribbon.

I really liked this shot Judi and scored it high. The votes under 3 really confuse me on this one (not that the 4s make sense but you know).

I like this photo a lot - the pose is great, the lighting excellent, and it's different to everything else in the challenge. I'm not sure about the white surround, though.

Very interesting shot....I think I'd like it better without the white border. Gave you an 8, the border probably keeps it from being a 9.

Nicely layed out though...

Interesting shot but the rotated canvas with the white border works very distracting.

That's quite the elaborate setup! What's with the red streaks down her legs? It looks like blood!

I really, really like this, but would have given it a 10 had it not been for the weirded out border :)

I love this picture. The expression on her face captivates me. I also like the mardi gras colors (beads) in her hair.
