This shot is a tribute to Pekesty //www.dpchallenge.com/profile.php?USER_ID=42100 and an accepted challenge of his to take a car shot. Well, Mark, I hope this counts and it lives up to your expectations. You'll have to leave me a long in-depth critique now on this submission. Being recently "promoted" to the ribbon club, that shouldn't be too hard :)

Woohoo, great score, new PB...I take full credit for it and you owe me dinner! Now fly on over here and pay up. ;D

Seriously though, this is a great photo. The contrasts are awesome and the sepia fits perfectly. Now I'm off to go hang my head in shame because you spanked me at my own game.

Lovely details, and the sepia tone works well to convey the mood.

This is great, it looks like an old film shot. I usually hate these see-through borders but this one actually suits the mood.

I love the "sepia" here. I like the way you used bordering in this photograph also. Nice job!

This is beautiful...I am guessing maybe the car was decorated for a wedding. Very elegant (as the title suggests)!

Looks like a Citroen. But probably wrong there. Nice tint.

good the tones and the composition of the shot. the white on the upper side hide the glass(no problem) and the chrome of the glass (small problem but for me is distracting). good the choice of the frame. 8 (curiosity, the location?)

The car is a bit too dark to really make the composition.

Love it! Not sure if the vignetting was on purpose or not... not sure I like that.

Outstanding contrast to this great duotone. I find it very interesting how different and similar at the same time that this is to my entry. For starters the compositions are farely similar to one another, only the settings vary. The next similarity is that the subjects in both are probably built pretty close to the same era. Despite it's age this one seems to be very much in the prime of its life. While on the other hand the prime of my subject is long, long gone. It is now just a Tumbleweed in the pasture of life.

The backdrop for this compliments absolutely perfectly, and in no way takes away from the subject. My only nitpick is the border, it seems so contemporary for such a classical photograph. Is this Versailles(forgive my spelling) and a Citroen? Well done!
