That's superb, very impressive. Nice idea replacing the background, it really makes the spider stand out.

Great detail on the legs. I especially like that 'translucent' effect. You've inspired me to chase down more spiders tomorrow. :)

Beautiful detail and clarity. The spider is amazing but what I really like is the tangled piece of web inthe upper corner. I dontknow why - but I do. Bumping up to a 9. One of my top picks of the challenge.

7 - Really like this, especially the detail on the upper threads and the transparency captured. 'If only' the dof were a little more bringing the whole spider into focus. The bottom thread looks a bit 'odd', whether that is a result of oof or pp not sure. Depending what you had to work with, I wonder if nudge rotating this up on the right to gain more symmetry and balance, especially in the sharper areas, may have given this a little extra. The little 'bundle' of strings top left, whilst fairly good detail, detracts slightly in my opinion, and could likely afford to have been cropped out, especially as it is already 'chopped'. Like the composition.

Strong nature shot - I would wish for just a little deeper DOF - it would be more interesting to me with that sharpness of all those threads fully realised. Detail and light are good.

My choice for the ribbons and I've voted on all but 14. I love the lighting and transparency of the spider. The pattern of the web is lovely. Very nice!

I am not a big fan of spiders, actually I am quite terrified of them. That being said...this is a fantastic macro shot. The level of detail is amazing. Very well captured!

Oh, creepy spider! Love this capture - great lighting, makes the web stand out nicely and his legs almost glow - the black background is great too. I like the angles the threads make and how his legs are guiding the threads into position. Might be better with a larger DOF, making all his legs and his back be in focus. Still, great capture of Mr. Spider.
