I just keep thinking that rubber duckies wanna join the other duckies. Broaden their horizons, spread their rubber wings and experience more than just a bathtub and a wash-cloth.
Forgot to change my ISO but it was OK at 640.
--
WOW! - my highest score EVER!!!! I knew that rubber wasn't the easiest thing nor the most exciting thing to photograph so i wanted to make the subject small yet still the focus of the composition - apparently that was the way to go :) !!! I perched the camera on the trip pod because i wanted to use a relatively closed aperture to get most of this in focus - I'm still always learning and I'm not sure whether ISO 640 helped or hindered because I didn't want the water to be too blurry either (with a longer exposure).
Thanks everyone for all the great comments. Thanks to my daughter for unknowingly letting me borrow her duckie !

I have to say, I've never seen such a powerful rubber ducky! Those words really don't mix well but you made it work on "digital film". It feels there's a whole fleet of duckys out there calling him to come with them, but we can't see them! Nice job with the pic, and fierce modelling as well (for someone named ducky!)

Really great shot. I love the dramatic angle and cool colors. It almost seems like he just wants to jump almost with an attempt of suicide, but he's a duck, so it's all good. Great work.

I never thought I would say this about a ducky picture but this is really awesome. I feel like this would be a photo that would really appeal to me even without the duck but having the duck there as a focal point really ties it all in. Great job!

The two shafts thrusting down gives the impression of menace to the duck, and you wonder, would he survive if cast upon the water?
