I didn't own a Woody before this challenge. Wasn't sure where to even get one. Sunday evening before the Michaels here in town closed, I went looking. Sure enough they had them. I didn't have a clue what I was gonna do with it after I got it. I took it home played with it for awhile, then put it back in the box. I went downstairs for something in my store room, I don't remember what. When I opened the door the first thing I seen was my table saw and it hit me. Hmm, a Woody and a saw. All the pieces started to fall in place. I set up my lights and black background, tied the hands on Woody up, bagged his head, spread some saw dust and took 2 shots. One with the blade off and one spinning. Decided to go with the spinning one.
To Ken, the Woody master. I thought you would like this and I was right. Ken's a baghead, but I knew it was his comment when I read it. I could only hope I would do Woody proud for you Ken.
Although my Woody finished a respectable 4th, I'm kinda disappointed. My average was over 7 from day one and started falling off Tuesday morning. I sure thought it was gonna be good for a ribbon. There were a lot of great shots in there. Oh Well, maybe next time.
Thanks to everybody that commented. Also to those who might of been offend by it, it's just a fun photo. Don't try and read into it.

Very creative idea. I like the crispness of what is in focus versus the blur at the plane of the blade. The sawdust really adds as well.

Oh, no, please! Good composition and lighting, effective. Killer spinning blade. Recently saw "Walk the Line" and it reminded me of tragedy with Johnny Cash's brother.

Good setup, creative. Nice use of blur on the blade (I assume it is spinning). And a creative take on execution, not a noose, but something related to the wooden figure.
