Excellent idea Jude! Well done on your score and another shot in your top 5! I like the comedy element to this shot! The choice of background and the nice lighting really help this image too IMHO

Great idea. I laughed when I saw this. The only thing that seemed out of balance to me was that we tend to think of evolving from small to large, so if the block had been smaller than the clothspin, it would have felt more balanced to me.

This was an excellent idea Jude, great creativity! I think overall, you pulled off the lighting quite nicely here too. Well done, not a bad score at all :)

Would work better for me if the block was about the same size as the clothes pin and woody. The woody seems a little dark too.

Like the stocky woody, like the idea that he has been whittled down from the block of wood. It would have worked better if the the peg was bigger than the woody. Lighting good, image is a little soft over all. Nice work!

Interesting idea. The top of the block looks off. Maybe it was edited some how. I also think the block is too big. Throws the focus and the balance off. The completely solid black also hinders this. Should see a slight ground here.

I like the concept, but the clothespin just seems out of place as the second "evolution" step (too short). The lighting overall is fine and the choice of using a black background does a nice job of isolating the subjects. Best of luck to you in the challenge.

Great idea. Just wish that you could add some depth to get away from being so linear/flat. How about an arrangement and perspective coming towards the camera?

Cute setup although the lighting/exposure could use a bit of work.

Haha! There is another evolution shot I've come across, but this one is a fresher take. I think I like the two images about the same, but I have to hand it to you for a great take on the idea.
