Very pleased with this shot. Stopped on a country lane to photograph a horse (which had one brown eye and one blue - stoneyed!) and saw a much better subject. I love the light and the shape of the shadow cast by the pipe. The shadow is curved, as the topography of the land rises toward the wall. I worried that the submission looked over-processed, even though I've done very little to the raw image. My aim was to photograph a subject where the perspective is challenging to the eye, and I think I've managed it - it looks a little un-real. The foliage, in the foreground, is in shadow from an adjacent hedgerow, whilst the gate is in light due to a gap in the hedge. I wanted 6.5+ for this one, but it bombed!

This is a very nice capture of a scene with many geometric lines and curves. It looks good to me like it is, and I'm wondering how it would look in B&W, contrasted to near lithograph, until the shadow of the pipe is just showing. There are so many geometric forms in this image that it's fun to just poke around in it and pick them out. The way that the structure at the end of the pipe echos the form of the gate posts and braces is one thing that stands out to me.

I like the perspective of the shot, It gives greaqt depth. I also like the overall sharpness and detail in your rocks and the lushness of the colors in the field. I believe it should have scored better also.

Great exposure! Good color in the sky and nice saturated colors in the green

interesting shot, but the fence and gate detract a little though as they seem much more modern than the supports.

I think the contrast is too severe. Still a very nice composition.

What a serene and picturesque scene for a water line to pass through. Great use of leading lines. :)
