Nice work Clint, this is a tremendous image and well deserved the yellow. Oh and by the way, you have the coolest username on DPC - I wish I'd thought of that ;-)

Edit for spooling errors ;-)

In reality I’m fine being the Yellow Bastard…doesn’t mean I’m scared though!! Well only of small bugs…and sloths.

Congrats on your well deseved ribbon, Tom. One of the rare "different" shots, well composed and of great clarity. I think I'll have to get me that G7, too.

Interesting perspective and unique approach to the challenge. The border is really distracting (and why is the border not even - left side is thinner than the others?). Other than that distraction, you have done a nice job with handling the exposure for the lighting quite well and brought out the details (even the fuzzy dust) also. Good luck in the challenge.

Very cool perspective. Like the border. 6

I can't see enough of this to actually tell what it is!

I love the perspective of this shot, however I think it would have been better if you could have cleaned the dust off of the sign first. As it is, I think the dust takes away from the shot more than it adds any character to it. Also, the white reflection is a bit distracting.

Overall though, I love it!

Nice, creative approach. Something beyond the usual. Bet exposure was a bit tricky too.

My absolute favorite of the challenge! In fact, I'm adding it to my favorites. :) I think this is one of the first macro shots of neon tubing I've ever seen. Not only is it incredibly original, but it is PERFECTLY done. The amount of exposure is dead-on. And the composition is perfect to boot!

I only have one VERY small criticism - and that's that the red portion of the border is varying in widths. That occurs when you increase the canvas size by an odd number. I've run into that before, and get around it by always increasing in increments of even numbers. For example, I usually just resize the image to 628, extend canvas height and width (in foreground color) by 4 pixels, then extend canvas by 8 pixels (in black). That always ensures that border lines are the same width. I know, I know - very nit-picky. Just thought I'd throw in my $.02 though. ;) Yet again, AWESOME shot! :D

Those white light reflections is a bit distracting, though..
