This is my first self portrait in a long time that I did not touch up my skin. This is the real me people. I have a scar on my forehead. When I was in kindergarten I ran into a door knob and had to get 11 stitches. Converted to BW, little dodge & burn..thats it.

You project intelligence, and a fierce determination. You have a terrific face, and good talents with your camera and computer. I love this portrait.

The lighting really makes this photo (the expression does too!)

I like the moodiness of the photo, with the no color, and the dark eyeliner. It definitely makes the viewer feel the unhappiness you are feeling at this moment! Good job!

You've done a wonderful job of trailing light & shadow here Mandy... even on your emotional/not-so-happy images, it always feels as though you capture them easily.

You have a terrific smile & I hope to see it back in place soon!!

I find you so unbelievably attractive. I think it's something to do with the shape of your face. Always like looking at you. Sorry life isn't making you smile. This is great classic photography with no ps gimmicks. One of the best in the challenge in my opinion. 9

A very nice character study with a semi defiant stare. The lighting is well chosen. Bump.

Even without a smile, this is a beautiful portrait. Can't but help how much it would shine if you did smile, though!

hmm.. not bad. However I would clone out that scar. I don't think it adds to the image.
