 The challenge was Science so, not having a scientific laboratory at hand, I decided to reach for the one object I knew no one else would have(!).

My experiment here was to place a mobile fluorescent strip light on top of my plasma lamp where the plasma's photons activate phosphors in the strip, causing it to glow.

Awesome photo! If I did have to change anything it would be first, to exclude the blue thing in the upper right portion of the photo. It's compositionally distracting, and it's dull color contrasts sharply with the brilliant color in the rest of the image. Second, I'd shift the subject to the right just a bit to force viewers to follow an extended "eye path" to the primary subject. I give this photo a 7

Great colors and I like the fact you tried to add some more interest to the shot without using a finger.

But, I'm not sure I like how you did the reflection and the tube (I'm assuming that is a tube ;) ) However, I'm not sure how else you could have done it.

Great colour, great detail. The only thing I'm not totally sure about is the blue blur in the top right - it seems a little bit out of place.
