HDR from three images using Photomatix Pro. Rotate and perspective adjustment. Some cloning of clouds. Dodging of lighthouse to make brighter. USM.

Excellent. The only thing that seems off is the lighthouse seems like it should be warmer. Excellent effect, reguardless of what I think :) Nice job.

I need (want) a wide-angle lens! :/ This shot came out very nice. Very dramatic sky that works well with the lighthouse. HDR really did justice to this as well, plus you kept it rather light handed and didn't overdo it. Bummer about what they've had to put in place at the base of the lighthouse (to protect it I assume) - the chainlink fence is an eyesore.

Anyway, smile and keep having fun! :D

Why would the overcasst sky have kept you from entering this? It's a decent photo, it clearly benefits from the expanded dynamic range of HDR and unlike 99% of the other shots in the forums it isn't a complete haloing festival and abuse of tone mapping. You should reconsider entering if you have more shots along these lines.
