 This pretty much turned out the way I had imagined it. I actually found it with one remaining (pistil?) in the centre. My thought was to find one and remove all but one; I didn't have to. Background is dark grey construction paper.

Used a tripod and remote shutter release with mirror lock up. Shot with my trusty 105mm Sigma F2.8 macro lens.

The only thing I dont like about this shot is that it beat mine by one of dem there (pistils?)
In a jealous rage Ill say it doesnt fit the challenge properly and the border is too much.
The reality is you used a closeup to convey all alone (there were debates on that issue) which is pretty clever and the photo is an interesting take on the subject.

The framing of this image is outstanding. Decent color and clarity. A little NeatImage applied to that background noise and this image would have scored even higher.

What a fantastic capture! Excellent detail, the focus is marvelous. Lighting is wonderful. Really highlights that last wisher. I would love to see a black & white rendition of this. The one thing that I don't like is the border, I think its a little overbearing. Other than that, this is a wonderful image. 9

This is my favorite of the challenge 10
The clarity is excellent, The background is just a bit unsettling because of the pattern, but the medium tone makes for a great shot here.

Very nice macro and good use of DOF. Good sharp focus too. The dismay grayness of the image adds to the loneliness called for in the challenge.

Nice capture...the border works well with this one. Love the way the dandilion stands out from the gray background...something about this image really stands out to me, can't quite put my finger on it...anyway I'm giving it a 10!
