The (recreated) Henry House is located in Manassas National Battlefield Park, site of 2 major US Civil War battles. It belonged to the elderly and infirm Widow Henry, who became the first civilian casualty of the first battle of Manassas/Bull Run without leaving her bedroom. She is buried nearby. The odd-looking thing in the yard of the house is a monument to the Union soldiers killed in the battle.

Civil War battlefields are often such lovely places that it is hard to believe what happened there.

PP - levels, dodged house a little, cropped, cloned out a couple of little branches, resized, sharpened, reduced noise, added border and text, increased saturation slightly.

I gave this an 8. Thought it made a nice postcard. Text was nice and clean and the framing/crop well suited. Perhaps a little dark, but your design, font choice, etc made up for it, in my opinion.

Nice subject. With this angle of sunlight, I think a perspective from further left would give you more light and be better as I'm trying to make out detail in the shadowed long face of the Henry House.

On my monitor, this is too dark. I can see very little detail in the house. The composition and time of day are very nice. A little photoshop work to highlight the house would make this a great shot. IMHO.

The lighting on the house is a little too dark, especially as this is the subject of the title of the postcard

The house is very dark and is too small to be the main subject of the photo.

Photo looks overexposed.

The detail of the house is lost a bit in the shadow. The colors of the field are nice, but the overall exposure is a bit dark. Not sure how much of a bump it could take thought without blowing out the sky, but it needs a bit more light in my opinion. Score: 5.
