Not expecting to do that well here, but this is more how I shoot these days, and haven't entered a challenge for awhile, so here I go.

Wow, that's a lot of sky and not a lot of image.

I really think this is a great composition. The sky is very dramatic and I like how the city is dwarfed to the point of being a border for the sky and gull. However, the haloing around the gull is the first thing I saw. It's pretty distracting. Bet this would look great with a little less sharpening on the bird, although the sky looks perfectly sharpened as it is.

I am not sure about the "perspective" aspects of this shot. It does not grab me in this regard. However, the cropping is intriguing to me. Was that done on purpose, or was it how it was framed? I like the image a lot in general.

Not liking how that gull is cut off, as it is the subject. Nonetheless, there is something that oddly works about this photo- all that emotive gray, I think.

IMO shame the seagull is really trying to get away and has left the top of the frame. I do however love the moody sky.

It is too much touching the frame

Too dark, and seems pixelated. Would like to see the seagull more in the picture.

Would be better with the seagull not cropped

Too bad the seagull was cut off. There is so much space between the gull and NYC that I can't easily tie them together with my eyes.

I wish you hadn't chopped of the wing - and that you had given your image a little more contrast.

Could be a bit less dark...

Would have worked a lot better for me if all of the Gull had been in the picture and if that little .. something .. wasnt peeping into the frame at the right.
