 minor dodge and burn
cropped and resized

added the border for contrast to the white

YEAAAA!!!! Yippeee!! :) My highest score to date. I cannot believe it and am honored to have my photo on the front page with so many beautiful images. Thanks for all your WONDERFUL comments.

I took this in my kitchen using the blue light from my window (it was a bright blue day)to cast a shadow on the right hand side. I had a soft white light on the left side to create another kind of glowing white. I arranged the fabric in a S curve to be safe and used a Chrismas ornament as my subject matter.

I only took 6 shots so I would not be overwhelmed with the usual 100 shots I tend to take. I did remember to set up my tripod this time!

A wonderful shot and so delicate! Love the contrasting textures between ball and white sheet. Reminds me of a flowing stream! wonderful!

I was sure this was the photo that had the score mentioned on the scoring thread in the 7's! I was sure this one would win a ribbon! I am in awe of how beautiful you made every day objects look! The lighting is truly spectacular! Congratulations on your top 10 placing!

Good interpretation of the challenge, and great job on the lighting. Border is a bit wide, IMO, or perhaps a bit whiter than rest of pic.

Oh, way to go taking the "every day" and making it look so elegant and exquisite! This is by far my favorite photo I've seen so far. It's flawless in every way: lighting, composition, and a great seasonal subject :)! My first 10! I expect this one to be in the winner's circle when it's all said and done!

Hmmm. I really, really like the lighting and curves in the fabric. I think I would actually prefer it without the ornament though - the hardness of the details/glitter someone doesn't match the soft tones of the rest.

Very nice shot! Really gives a feeling of "Light on White". The only suggestion I have would be to try a bit more contrast to emphasize the light a bit more.

wow ....... this is absolutely stunning and beautiful .. just love the way the 'ball' seems to be creating 'ripples' in the fabric ..... =9 .. or should i make it a 10? ..?!! .. yeah its a 10 ...

I'd say this is one of the best in the challenge. Your framing of this shot is exquisite. Wouldn't surprise me if you shoot a lot of landscapes.

This is quite simply gorgeous! There is a real oppulance to the way you have captured the folds of the fabric. I can not find a single fault or thing I would have wished improved. A 10 and a favourite.
