Took this near my house with my little neighbor . she was telling me a ghost story about the house at the end of this road and so I thought I would give this an errie treatment using desaturation and the burn tool. Made me think of the times I would promise to be home in time for dinner and get lost in play, only to be scared walking home as the sun was setting..

Good to see something a little different and engaging in the top 10 here.. Kind of getting sick of the bleak landscape over-photoshopped thing meself.

I love this picture - made it a favorite. I love the desaturation of most of the color.

That's really nice, with the dolly in the wagon and the dirty knees. I didn't know little girls did that anymore. Very poignant and a real blast from the past. 10

Great use of selective colouring/toning. Love an image that tells a story.

beautiful rendering. DOF makes this work really well. excellent work - love the fact she's looking away - it goes with the 'dirtyness' of her clothes. Hope that makes sense. 9

I LOVE this photo! It really touches me. Everything about the little girl is perfect. She looks so natural, like she's very tired from a hard day of play. The way you have processed it compliments her and the mood of the photo perfectly!

A lot of emotion here. Very nice work and the desat works well here.

Incredible post editing. I like the old sense of it with the minimal saturation of colors and the overriding brown tones. Love the title as well. Great DOF
