| I love the look he's giving you and for me, the border works nicely in this one. is the death the leaves though? okay, nevermind. i just looked up harbinger on dictionary.com. Got it: anything that foreshadows a future event; omen; sign. Cool pic, great title. thanks for teaching me a new word today! |

| Interesting image and I commend you for going out on a limb and trying something conceptual, but I don't know if the raven and the title alone will meet the cut-throat DPC standards. I think it might have been stronger with another element in the photo that implies a more literal sign of things to come, just to compliment the allusion to Edgar Allen Poe's, The Raven. Technically, it seems like it could use some work with contrast as well. Lots of gray, but no real black or white, at least on my monitor. I think its a neat shot compositionally and really like the fact that you tried the conceptual route, maybe just needs a bit more to really nail the challenge. |

| I don't really see how this would "explore death". pity the crow is a bit out of focus. |

| excellent tones, good composition, background needs something of interest for the eye, overall not too atmospheric, but good portrait of the bird |
