edited with rawshooter pro:
increase color temp. to max 12500k
lower tint to -25
exposure compensation -0.38
shadow contrast +20
highlight contrast -28
use very strong curve to turn into a semi Silhouette
rotated and cropped
exported as Tiff
further editing with Photoshop:
further strong curve to darken sky and crosses further
used despeckle filter to reduce noise created by the strong curves
cloned out 2 dust spots (wish I could have cloned out the power lines)
converted to B&W (can't remember which method I used: LAB, channel mixer or desaturation)
used an orange warming filter at 100% to add the orange color back in for the sunset look
sharpened
resized
output sharpening
save for web

thanks for the ribbon I didn't expect one :)

The telephone lines way in the background are no detraction. Adds a subtle context to the more etheral subject. Congratulations1

The sky is very interesting, but I really like the repeating pattern of the crosses. I'd kind of like to see that emphasized a little more. But nothing at all wrong with this photo, great job!
