This is one of those pictures that looked a WHOLE lot better in my head. But he wasn't happy so I only got about 4 shots out of him. none of them where he looked happy. but I have 50 shots of him out of the pot standing there all messy and complaining about being dirty. :P. My daughter loved it and I have some great shots of her but I've used her alot lately and I wanted Odin for this one. hope it does ok anyway. :)

dont worry guys there was no torture involved. he was just a little nervous to be in a pot full of dirt. not his usual saturday thing. but he didnt cry and he was only in there for seconds. and he loves the shot. thanks for the comments and score! :)

Well done Crystal. Excellent work (as usual) and at least you get that honorable mention acknowledgement on your profile page - almost as good as a ribbon.

Very cute and creative. What a fine patient model you have. I assume it's your kid - who else would let you put dirt in their hair?! I love to use my kids too - let's them be part of my photgraphy world and gives us a fun connection while we "play" together. Not to mention we get some fun shots out of the deal! Nicely done - back to bump you to 8.

Ha, just too funny and too cute, reminiscent of Anne Geddes, but a little more mature. Made me smile, love it.

Great idea and my favorite of the challenge. My only nitpick is that it appears a bit oversharpened, especially the dirt specs on white.

Funny concept, looks like it took a lot of work and a patient model. I feel as though it is missing something however. Perhaps a lighter expression? I think the flowers look a little washed out or something too.

I see dirt. good concept and bright. maybe crop bottom up to the pot. Mothers, don't let'em grow up 2b potheads!. For wilderness survival I once had a scout dig a hole and sleep in the dirt (in a sleeping bag). It's not so bad. - 10

Cute concept. Small kid, but that still has to be a humongous pot. Well done!

It must have been interesting to decide what expression the model would have - perhaps there was only one choice. I like the clean background and specks of dirt - The hair is sorta funny because it seems so perfect under that dirt :] I'm trying to figure out what would bring this together more for me I need to feel more connection between humanity and the plant - like maybe his fingers become roots - at this point is just seems like a cruel Anne Geddes satire - if that's the idea, it's GROWing on me as I write this.

Very Anne Geddes like - a bit oversharpened and could do with rotating a bit

How DPC does Dirt. Only here would the model have their skin so creamy white in a dirt challenge. It's a well done shot, but I'm saving my 8-10 scores for true grime. 7 This looks like Cindi's work.

Nice picture, good idea. Thats either a really really big pot, or tom thumb.

Boy do you owe somebody big for this! Very Cute and stands apart from the others. Maybe a little over-sharpened as can be seen on the bottom curved edge of the pot (jaggies) and a little on the model's right upper arm fingers, etc.

very funny :-)
my only suggestion for an improbvement would be to have more dirt on the floor.
Apart from that, excellent attempt.
Good luck.
