I had planned on entering brown after attempting to get a good hsot of some pigs and sheep failed. Had an ok entry but nothing tha twould really stand out - and on a week against Team 5D in the WPL i knew I needed a bit more. Broke out a couple of PF cds and listened through. This lyric gave me the idea of a couple of goofballs running around with a bomb. Since I didnt have another goofball on hand, teh one we call "the Character" was revived. I wasnt sure how to go about making a bomb and Aimee suggested using one of the bowling balls that we use in our juggling show. I used some clay and a piece of sparkler for the wick. We walked down to a side street in our neighborhood because the shadowed area was better (and now more neighbors to think we are nuts) and I set up in the middle of the road. Aimee hit the plunger for me after I lit the "fuse".

I might get ragged on for using a similar setup again to a previous imageof mine and Aimees, but I like to consider it a new chapter in the continuing saga of "the Character". I like him and I find him entertaining. Hopefully the DPC crowd likes him enough to throw him a 6 average overall.

PP - RAW conversion and then the usual stuff using 2 stauration adjustment layers for the b&w conversion along with a selective color layer in the mix, USM, NI, border resize for web.

This guy somehow reminds me of Toulouse-Lautrec.

I really love the absurdity of this shot (if you'll forgive me). The way that the bench almost looks too small and the way that it seems to be giving way under your (?) weight appeal to my sense of humour. The symmetry is quite striking, too.

This is a great entry. The composition works very well, and it has a true Pink Floyd feel. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the lightness of the road toward the top of photo- it draws the eye away from the subject. 8.

So....Did your neighbors call the cops on this one?

Nice B&W treatment. I'am guessing bowling ball, sparkler and cork for the "bomb" We executed, great expression.

This is on target in terms of the challenge and image itself is well done. It has some black humour which I believe Pink Floyd would like.

Nice shot. I like seeing the edges of the road in this. It gives kind of a leading line feeling to it. Interesting use for a bowling ball.

Nice image! Has a cool retro feel to it and that's not just the choice to present it in black and white. Something about it reminds of the old silent movies! Central composition and slight distortion of perspective both work well.

In America it is illegal to make something that looks like a bomb.

Crisp black and white - funny idea, very well executed - the road, the big bomb, the expression, the lonely bench, the bowler hat... wonderful! 9
