this is Grimm our newest addition to the family. he is about 2yrs old - has quite the personality.

shot with single 550ex on camera at +1 2/3. this reminded me of some portraits of people i have seen, but can't think if the artist who takes them.

i masked Grimm out and darkened the Bg substantially. converted to BW with hue/saturation & then curves for contrast. i sharpened the entire image then masked his eyes and sharpened them seperately.

Outstanding. Just love the title and the dog's name couldn't be more perfect. Excellent rich tones. I love it.

Beautiful pet portrait! The lighting is just perfect! The vertical white lines above the dog's head do tend to draw the eye up and I think that the image would be even stronger if they were cloned out. Very nice job on this!
