Thanks for the ribbon. Wasnt really that pleased with it. I fell into the thought that it would score better than the outtake(which I prefer).

Oh and the photo is of my brother Oliver.

I love boxing, and do some sparing myself. I've tried a couple of boxing shots, but haven't come close to one as good as this. I thought that a boxing shot couldn't do well on dpc. You've prooved me wrong, and have inspired me to try again. Congratulations on a great shot.

I didn't comment when I voted but I gave this a 9. :)

I love the way you capture details -- from the sweat down to the texture of the towel. Congratulations on your BLUE!!!

Let me explain, Alex submitted the photo for scoring, then for 7 days it was up to you, the viewer, to vote on it. The photo with the highest average vote wins the challenge. Its really quite straightforward and is the one thing DPC are still getting right these days.

Hope this clears things up for you!!

Congrats on your blue! excellent shot, simple, yet rich. I think I like this one better because in the outtake, the expression is so intense, it is hard for my eye to wander and take in the other elements. Just a thot.
Sweet!

Congratulations on the first ribbon of 2007!!! Well done mate, you deserve it, as always..

Levy.. Alex is indeed a boxer, he always tells me stories of how he likes to bash a guy around the ring.

LOL.

Dude somehow we got chemistry with our shots, or great minds think alike, whatever the case our first shot of James Bond in Casino Royale was the same, and now we are both boxers and took shots of it. Except yours is a hell of a lot better. Nice work man. Great clarity and color in the gloves, and the use of negative space is great work. Well done again. 10!! What class our you in, in the International Federation?

This could use some more contrast/more light - the subject doesn't quite pop out enough from the background

Good portrait, clarity, sweat, color. Just seems overly dark, would be better with brighter levels.

I like this. Simple composition, strong facial expression. Only thing I'd say is that this cold benefit from some harsher shadows on the face if you wanted to go for a different feel.

This is very well done...I like the position of the gloves on the ropes providing a shot of color and acting as a frame for the face; also I like the whole compositional tone and feel.

Great image. Fantastic clarity and detail. If this isnt a self portrait then the person it is should get a print of this baby and hang it where everyone can see. Wonderful shot and bumping up to 9.

How funny. The first one I voted on was the other boxer, and this is the last one to vote on. I hate boxing, but it's a good portrait.
