I took the kids to COSI (a science museum) and this is actually a crop of part of the picture. This is from a bubble demonstration and my son was pulled from the audience to help. What you don't see is the man showing how you can poke a bubble - and not have it pop. He is holding my sons hand and guiding it into the bubble.

So I am not a software queen and I am using PSP8.
I converted to grey scale, then sepia, then dodging to lighten up the edge of the bubble. Played with contrast, a little cloning, and I think that is it!

It tells a very mysterious story. After reading your explanation it makes much more sence but I liked not knowing too. lol

This is cute. I'll bet you had a few giggles taking it. :D Something about the lighting or processing is strange (IMO) with this photo. The skin looks too yellowish. It's almost like you went down a sepia path but didn't quite get all the way there. Best of luck to you in the challenge.
