OK, so that's not actually true, I go every week (and this isn't even my church!), but I liked the shot and wanted to use it in the challenge.

This is a local church: Cathedral of Transfiguration, in Markham Ontario. Unfortunately this newer building is not even being used right now. Shame.

Although it sits amongst a very heavily residential area, the church has quite a bit of land and so there really is a sense of this church being in the middle of nowhere.

Woo hoo Top 10!! Thanks everyone for your constructive and encouraging comments!!

I really like this photo. The colors are beautiful. It's also an interesting building & I love the architecture. There is a church located in Russia, where my gr-grandfathers family came from. This reminds me of that church.

Amazing sense of the prairies in Ontario. Wouldn't mind another shot of this sometime. And more story... Sounds like the cathedral itself had been procrastinated.

God I hate churches... this one has a funky look though. Complementary colors are working it out for you here.

The isolated location of the building adds to the sentiment of "putting it off" in a neat way, I think. Good color, nice composition, too.

I don't know what it has to do with procrastination but it's a nice picture.

Lovely shot. Where is it? Very losely connected to the theme, but so are 90 percent of images in this challenge, imho. If you use it again anywhere, please correct the vertical - the tilt to the right is barely visible but the eye really hangs on it because there so little other details in the picture.

Picture perfect scene. Which country?

This is a really beautfiul photo. The colors pop and the focus is dead on. The only issue is the angle of light that darkens front of church. 8.

Very pretty and sort of strange how it ooks like the church is out in the middle of a field. Gorgeous colors. Back to bump you up to 9.

Do I recognise this place from a challenge a while ago? Interesting lighting and nice building. 6, but I'll bump it up to 10 if you go to church now.

Good postcard image; I wonder if some will consider this shoe-horned in to the challenge, but I think it's well enough done to prevent that happening. i'm no huge fan of this really, but after some truly awful photographs, it's interesting to see something simply well photographed.

Very beautiful shot....looks like a postcard...is this the church you would start going to? Not convincing enough because of that.

Beautiful photo, but has nothing to do with procrastination, especially not without the title.

Wow...this is such a creative vantage you've got going for you here. If you could have gotten the camera just a little lower, you could have lost the hint of the streetlights in the lower right by the church. It gives this building a sense (even if just an illusion?) of being in the middle of nowhere--a bit of architectural grandeur in the middle of an otherwise unimproved wasteland. Very nice. You might consider, too, lightly dodging the shadows on the front side of the church. I mean, the contrast is nice as is, but there's some nice things to be seen there and might come out a little more if the shadows weren't quite so overwhelming. Overall, I rate this one an 8.

Well, at least with a church that gorgeous, it may help a little to quit procrastinating about it, huh? Beautiful photo!
