Shot of a ringtail lemur.

Last year in the Best of 2005 I entered a black and white photo of a war veteran protesting the Iraq war. That finished 533rd out of 829 entries. Maybe I can do a little better this time around but I doubt this will break the top 100.

*Post*

I am quite honored to have placed in the 95th percentile out of 705 entries in this challenge. It is definitely one of my favorite shots of 2006 and I'm glad others enjoyed it as well.

This is a cool image with the eye in color. quite dramatic. I would prefer a tighter crop, but that's just a personal preference. well done.

i wonder if they ever blink. they seem to be always wide-eyed. Adorable little critters, these lemurs. The eyes captures the attention due to the selective desat, and it's naturally framed by the cage.
