Don't really plan to do it this year, either.

PP: Levels, curves, pushed saturation, color balance (+blue/cyan for smoke), dodging and burning of some smoke streams, healing brush for sensor dust, USM, crop, resize, USM, NI, selective sharpening for matchstick, canvas size, save for web.

.......

Another surprise! Thanks y'all!
To those who thought a cigarette would have been better: Ask yourself: "What did this match do right after the shot?"

Congratulations Oliver :)

"What did this match do right after the shot?" Well nothing I guess. It's already put out, so it went into the trash. But what was it used for before it was put out? Just thought a put out looking cig. would've been more in touch with the title as I also dont associate matches with smoking either. I dont smoke but everyone around me who does, doesn't use matches. But I hear using matches to light cigars is best. In general as an overall shot I would pick the match over a cig.

Excellent capture. The shape of the smoke fills in the space quite nicely. But for the title and concept I think a cigarette or cigar would've worked better.

Lovely picture of a match. I just usually don't associate wooden matches with ciggies. I'm insanely literal sometimes. Still a nice pic and deserves a 7 at least. I'll be back later. ;)

I like the shot but think it would have worked much better with a cigarette instead of a match.
