Lovely image, Danny. Can't say much more than that. Very emotive, even without your notes.

Danny, when you told me this shot was yours after I had finished voting on the challenge, I knew the meaning behind your rings, but I didn't realize the rose was over a year old. How beautifully it preserved. A testament to the everlasting love you and Debby shared. She would love this tribute and be so very proud of you. ~Patty

Nice shot, good solid black background. I hope the faded rose doesn't symbolize a faded marriage.

I gave this an 8 instead of a 10 only because of the placement of the rings. The concept is so beautiful and moving and the colors, lighting, depth and detail are extraordinary, but there is something about the rings themselves that just doesn't work for me. Perhaps if one ring (the lady's?) were placed on the table it would more dramatically emphasize the parting and remove some of the stiffness of the stage. Of course, if you were to do that, you would need to rework it so that you could identify the table surface, otherwise the ring would just be floating out in space...or, hm, come to think of it, maybe that would have its own implied significance? In any event, this is a beautiful photograph and one of my favorites of the challenge. Good luck.

I like this very much! It's a unique representation of the theme. Very lovely, and with beautiful colors and composition.

Very contrived, as I'm sure you were going for. But when you're working with delicate, dried petals, you needs something rugged and hard to contrast. Shiny rings don't work. Maybe against a wood or marble background in black and white.

Very lovely colors. The metals look almost a little too sharp, but the petals are just gorgeous.

How morose! Very nice photo. Rich colors considering the subject is dead. Think it's just a bit underexposed tho. 8

I like your lighting, colors, tone. Very Nice. I think if the rings slightly overlapped on the petals, with diamonds in ring caught with some light, it would be perfect (personal preference.) I give it a 9.
