I've just stumbled upon this, some 8 years late. What a wonderful, emotive, interesting portrait. I love it.

I don't care what others might say, I REALLY like this and wanted to let you know so before the contest ends. It's the anti-portrait, portrait and for me it works well. I'll be interested to see how others viewed this. I don't care... I like it. Good job.

It does look like an old time photo of a gospel preacher or somesuch. 7

This is one of my favorites in the challenge. I like how you captured that old school feeling - just a really classic look. 9

nice effort on the 'antique' feel

If this really is a recent photo, then this is a great job of antiquing. It looks like some of my family shots taken in the 20's and 30's and even earlier.

I'm not sure of the noise in the image is intentional, but it's not working for me (it looks like a scan of an old/worn image). But what really hurts the image for me is that the eyes fade into black.

I get the effect you were going for......sort of "old photo" look......but, it looks like you snapped a shot of an old photo.

too much post-processing for my taste, lacks of detail

Were you going for an old looking picture? I'd like to see more of his eyes and more sharpness.

did you take a picture of a picture? It looks like it, but maybe you did do all this in photoshop. I am not going to vote on this one since I am not sure what you did here.

Effect way over done, takes away from the composition.

I like this shot, simply for it's emotional impact (which is the most important thing in a photograph)! 9!

I would have liked a little more light on the eyes, but I like the feeling and the concept!
