One flash, in a soft box pointing straight at me, the blade is slightly tilted to receive more light, but doesn't show in this pic.
The blade was sandblasted to make it mat. I agree that a shiny blade with circular lines through it would be nice, but there is a lighting issue: If the blade is reflective, then the light shining on it would have to be on the immediate left of the camera (so that it's mirror image would show up on the picture)... But in that case, the lighting on me would be flat, and take away from the picture immensily.
So i opted for a mat blade finish, which reflects at any angle.

Sorry, don't speak French and with nearly 500 pictures to comment on, I don't have time to look up the meaning... but I'm commenting on the image anyway. Well composed, good lighting and nice clarity.

Is that blade PS'd in? It looks lit too uniformly. Great pose and lighting on the face, though!

A very loaded image. I like the light on the face, and how it leads to the saw. Also the closed eyes speak loudly.
But i don't like the saw itself.. it doesn't look real. The light seems off, it doesn't look like it has depth (no thickness to its edges) and no signs of use.. i would have loved to have seen a weathered, used saw here. So i do like the feel of the image, at second glance it looses a lot because of the saw. vote=6

What a fantastic shot, really original and incredibly well executed.
One of the best i've seen in this challenge so far.
I love how the curvature of your neck follows the blade so closely.
Stands out so well next to the 'standard' shots, or poses should i say, in this challenge, breath of fresh air.

wow. was not expecting this labuda....What made you put a blade to your neck? Cool composition though. Lighting is good too. Now let's see who does better, me or you ;)
