| Man, what an awesome photo. I love how you not only captured an interesting landmark, but also managed to get it with a during what I call an "emotional" moment, when the photo becomes soooo much more than just a documentation of both the locationa and the current lighting. It now captures the mood of the moment as well. Awesome work! |

| Excellent, If anyone could love snow better in a landscape, then I just don't know who it could be. My daughter has a Pentex Spotmatic F and takes really nice pictures and Digatal Nicon is her next one comming up. |

| Incredible capture, David! You picked the perfect day to shoot. Congratulations on a fine score and finish. I'd be curious to see how you changed this for the print. My only nit with the color is that the face looks a tad bit towards the greenish side of yellow in the highlights. (And my monitor is supposedly calibrated using my Huey.) I've never made it to Yosemite, but between this and other shots I've seen, I have to make it there--and perhaps in several different seasons! |

This should have ribboned...it was interesting to hear your comments regarding the lack of desat.. you fooled me but I thought it was the most appropriate desate that I have seen.

| Tho I'm not voting on this photo since we shared it before the challenge, I wanted to make a comment and add it to my favorites. This is such a grand majestic scene -- too beautiful to be real. Certainly too beautiful for words! One of the top very few in this challenge!!! Absolutely spectacular photography -- in EVERY way! |

| Nicely done. Love the black and white for most of the photo. I don't think I like the choice of keeping the cliff in color, or maybe the yellow seems to much in conflict with the black and white. Perhaps a different color balance adjustment for that part. |

| You've taken too much color out of the sky and snow and amped it up too much on the rock face, IMO. I've spent a lot of time there, and this just looks wrong to me. In a more realistic rendering, this would be stunning. |

| That's quite a sky you got for a backdrop there! And the color on the cliff and nowhere else works very well. I'm assuming this is not selective desaturation, but rather just what the scene looked like, either way it just looks right! |
