Thanks for the comments. I knew it was dark, but thought the darkside folks would vote higher. Maybe some changes are happening! :) Van

Lovely colours but I feel the bird is placed to close to the edge of the frame and has 'nowhere to fly', so to speak.

The lighting is poor. Everything looks very green, can't see the birds wings very well.

Good capture I think it's a pity the contrast is so dark that the wing tip is lost in the water

The birds camouflage works too well, he gets lost in the bacground

I like how the duck is almost lost in the background. only the motion panning distinguishes him. 7

i love the idea, but am afraid it's probably a bit too subtle for this crowd. maybe if you had lightened it just a little.

Hard to view the subject. Nice pan tho

I like that it's a duck, but I don't like that I need a few moments to figure that out. A nice idea, marred by a dark, muddy, unattractive execution. Sorry.

This is too dark, probably because you used the flash. Wish there was more detail.

The colours all blend in together too much IMO, but otherwise good

Subject seems to dark.

Good stop motion and tracking of subject.
Placement of subject moving out of image throws the whole balance of the picture off and the dark vs light horizon, makes the image appear tilted in just the wrong direction as well. The duck's coloration blends too much with the river's shadows.
Great Tracking - Poor Image.

Nice job of panning. Two things that might help improve the image: (1) have more space to fly into rather than behind the bird (that helps with the sense of movement); (2) try to get a dark bird like this against a different colour background, lighter or so, to set it off - as it is, the bird, especially the wing areas, gets lost agains the background.
