The fact that this shot only got a 6.3 makes me despair of EVER getting a 7 myself.

WTH you gotta DO around here to get a 7?

This is a great shot that modulates beautifully, both tonally and topographically.

I have seen this several times, and I always enjoy it, The simple life... Everything is beautiful, to anyone who comments on blown highlights, pay no attention to them, this photo should not be changed.

I like how this pic is in black and white. It's simple, but you acn't really see the person very well.

Nice composition. I might've gone even further with vignetting to bring the focus right to the subject.

Good use of bw and leading lines. For some reason, I find the person in the distance on the right and the bench near on the left appealing. Adds the element of a story to the shot.

I like. The bench - a sense of a possible rest from her endeavours, is a very nice touch. A touch more control of light might have been effective - she perhaps disappears into the highlight lines across the road too much? Very strong composition.

Nice shot - would like to see this in color. For me, I don't think the b&w helps it.

I recall seeing this in your portfolio & remember really liking it - very appealing composition with a nice pattern of light & shadow. I can't think of a better title to bring attention to the plight of the figure here. The only faults here would be the blooming on the left (center blooming works well for this image, though) and the ever so slight sense that your focus is soft.

Really like it - very strong image! << 9 >>

a very stong image. a little more detail to enhance the subject (and rid of the patch behind her) would improve even more. nice capture

This looks similar to Oak Alley. I really like the human element here along with the bench to balance out the shot. Very cool shot.
