Interesting lighting - really makes the colours of the apples sing out and the black background amplifies that. Apples are sitting way too close to left and right edges of the frame for the composition to work for me... feels very very hemmed in. I think I'd add space left and right and also at top and lose some at bottom.

There are a couple os spcks in the background, but this is a very good still life shot. The lighting is its best quality and sharpness good.

If you're going to try to draw attention to the center apple by having it unripe (you WERE trying to draw attention to that apple, weren't you?), then the other apples shouldn't be partially unripe. If this is just a collection of unripe apples, then there's no reason that the center one should be so glaring. You are not in control of you photography or your meaning, and in order to win, you need to have that control.

The best picture I've seen in this challenge. I'm a little distracted by the green spot on the apple in the foreground on the right side but it's not enough to take away from the score of 10.

Excellent lighting, a bit crowded but the arrangement and angle of the shot take care of that quite well. Great overall shot.....really like this a lot!

If this isn't a ribbon winner, I don't know what is! Small glare on apple in front right is the only thing I don't like. Nice job. 9

Very interesting lighting!!! I like the overall effect! You get a distinct sense of depth. You do have a couple of hot spots though on the center and front right fruit. Nice shot!

great warm colors, good arrangement. If spot editing was allowed you should clone out the bright spot on the apple in front, on the right.
