A composite of three different shots. Levels, Color Balance and healing on each shot, then resized and fit into frame. Finally, I used the clone tool to expand the water level outside of the matting and darkened the matting below the water line.

Post challenge:
Well, I finally got around to looking up this Scalvert guy and all I can say is "wow!" Thanks for the comparisons!

The comments on this were wonderful, thank you all so much! (I'm using a lot of exclamation marks here. . . !)

I knew when I entered this that it was going to be a love it or hate it image, and it seems that y'all loved it as much as I did! Thanks again for the votes and comments.

I have looked at this image no less than a half dozen times before and just now got that the title is in response to the challenge name. What a flat freakin' HOWL!!!!!

I actually thought this was an awesome idea. I don't know how in h you thought about it but when the idea hit you I'm sure it was like a ton of bricks. Anyway Congats on your first ribbon, It's been alomst a year and no other ribbons means it your turn again buddy.

I've been in the mountains of North Carolina for a week and just got back today, so I've missed everything that has been going on around DPC world.
Anyway, I saw this shot on the front page and thought "Cool, that's great photo/composite/image type thing".
And I only just now saw that it was "you" who did it!

Now...of all the "Fill the Frames" taken literally in past challenges this one is the best! Very creative use of literal interpretation. Even though it doesn't fit the "actual" meaning of the challenge I am definitely going to give it a 10. The lighting is exquisite! It's just so expertly done! Bravo!
