You're right, it's far too soft. The light was pretty awful and I was rushed so it ended up being a handheld shot with a slow shutter speed (and it was cold, that never makes it easy to keep things steady).
I'm surprised I got the result I got.
As for levels and saturation, how would you tweak them? |

I like it, it's a touch soft and needs just a little bit of tweaking in curves and/or saturation but the subject is great. |
